God our Father, You who have made us a community and sent us into the world to witness to your love;
Lord Jesus Christ, You who call us to be your missionary disciples and walk with us on the roads of the world;
Holy Spirit, You who inspire us to consecrate our entire selves to the mission and to make common cause with the poorest and most abandoned;
look kindly upon your children as they prepare to celebrate the XIX General Chapter.
Give us eyes that see the world as You see it,
give us ears to hear how You hear,
give us a new heart to love as You love,
give us the spirit of discernment to know, understand and accomplish your will
with courage, fidelity, humility and confidence in You who are Love itself.
Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and our Founder Saint Daniel Comboni,
we entrust to You the preparation and the course of the XIX General Chapter
of the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus. Amen
